My laptop has been running great with F16. I drive an external monitor with it. This morning I did an upgrade as follows. Apr 10 13:02:57 Installed: kernel-devel-3.3.1-3.fc16.x86_64 Apr 10 13:02:58 Updated: kernel-headers-3.3.1-3.fc16.x86_64 Apr 10 13:02:59 Updated: kernel-tools-3.3.1-3.fc16.x86_64 Apr 10 13:02:59 Updated: libffado-2.1.0-0.7.20111030.svn2000.fc16.x86_64 Apr 10 13:02:59 Updated: libcdio-0.82-6.fc16.x86_64 Apr 10 13:03:05 Installed: kernel-3.3.1-3.fc16.x86_64 Apr 10 13:03:06 Installed: kmod-wl-3.3.1-3.fc16.x86_64-5.100.82.112-2.fc16.16.x86$ Apr 10 13:03:08 Installed: 1:kmod-nvidia-3.3.1-3.fc16.x86_64-295.33-2.fc16.3.x86_$ Apr 10 13:03:08 Updated: 1:kmod-nvidia-295.33-2.fc16.3.x86_64 Apr 10 13:03:08 Updated: kmod-wl-5.100.82.112-2.fc16.16.x86_64 This afternoon I rebooted because of a stall coming out from Sleep mode. When I did so, I found that my external monitor no longer worked. Upon running nvidia-settings, I found that the laptop monitor is in "Separate X Screen" node and cannot be changed to Twinview and the external monitor is disabled and cannot be enabled. I did a downgrade on the recent kmod-nvidia install. Same behavior. I tried booting the previous kernel. Same behavior.
