Users,

I had no messages about bad sectors on F11. Recently right after upgrade to F16 I got a message about bad sectors. Hence the following question: Since F11 what changes have been made to F16 allowing better bad sectors detection?

It's possible the sectors were already bad, but weren't noticed until
you did the upgrade (which would write over blocks that hadn't been touched
for a while). It's also possible that you weren't running smart checks
under F11, but started under F16.
