You have both nVidia binary blob driver and Nouveau driver installed at the 
same time. This is well-known to Not Work. Either remove the binary blob and 
let Nouveau drive your hardware, or remove nouveau and let the binary blob 
drive your hardware. The world is too small for both of them... ;-)
