Hence why I prefer fresh installs ... I like to remove those issues so I can evaluate what's in the new release independent of "can older version be update". I've already qualified my comments on that to acknowledge that there are folks who can't take the "fresh install" approach, so I am only speaking for myself.
I do prefer it when update installs work as it makes me believe the QA has been through.
