You may be hitting this bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=755412 It looks like power settings are currently getting ignored. I'll also add that it doesn't appear to be limited to just power settings. On my wife's laptop all of her mouse/touchpad settings are being ignored as well. This REALLY needs to get fixed. WAF is dropping rapidly. I may have to downgrade her back to F15.
