I've been using yum almost constantly for the past several days, removing duplicates, updating perl after cleaning it up and in a few cases, reinstalling things that either got dumped when I was cleaning up a dupe or fell through a crack. In all that time, I never got an error message of this type. Now, I've run yum makecache and am trying the update again. At this time, it's working its little legs off rebuilding rpms from the deltas, so whatever was wrong seems to have been fixed.

BTW, the error message I gave was pasted into the message from the terminal, not paraphrased. I gave you every bit of information I had.
