'journal commit error'

F14usb8 on sda8  usb  is my main f14, and works.

backup copy F14sdc7 on internal scsi disk sdc7
does boot,
but periodically becomes inoperable
following msg on screen
'journal commit error'


rebooting into F14usb8
I run e2fsck as follows

then it is possible to reboot into f14sdc7 and it will stay alive for a while.


Is this indication of a flaky disk sdc?

Any one ever seen 'journal commit error?
