has this functionality been moved elsewhere?
Is your rsyslog service running?
# systemctl status rsyslog.service
That's it, but, how do I enable it?
systemctl status rsyslog.service
rsyslog.service - System Logging Service
Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/rsyslog.service; disabled)
Active: inactive (dead)
CGroup: name=systemd:/system/rsyslog.service
I tried:
systemctl enable rsyslog.service
ln -s '/lib/systemd/system/rsyslog.service'
'/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/rsyslog.service'
Running the status command now shows it as enabled but still "inactive
(dead)"
