OK, I bit the bullet and followed advice
to not do a upgrade, but do a fresh install of Fedora 15. Now I'm lost
as far as networking is concerned. Under Fedora 13 I used several ethernet
aliases (ifcfg-eth0:0 and ifcfg-eth0:1) so that additional IP addresses
could be defined. Now I'm seeing devices named p5p1 and p6p1. How
do I create aliases off of these devices? Must I use NetworkManager
as opposed to network? Is there a way to choose to use the older ethx devices?
Thanks,
Gene Poole
