As I said before, Amazon and Barnes & Noble's publishing tools only accept certain formats. And...if you want the book to look good (which you do, otherwise people won't buy it), you need to adhere to that format and spend a good amount of time making it look perfect.

So unless Scribus can now export to .epub or .mobi format, you're out of luck. Best thing to do is get the book in .html format, make it look perfect, import it into Calibre, and then export it to .mobi and .epub formats.
