You have to do it the long hard way and point it to pxlcolor.ppd for or pxlmono.ppd if it's a bw printer. If you're using fedora look in /usr/share/cups/model/ or do a 'locate' for those files. Add Printer, select LPT#1, Choose Driver, Provide PPD file, enter the path to the ppd and follow the prompts. If you're using fedora look in /usr/share/cups/model/ or do a 'locate *.ppd | less' for those files.
