I've upgraded from Fedora 15 to 16 (x86_64). Now when I attempt to login using the Gnome shell, it brings up a small window with a message "Oh no! Something went wrong", and after a few seconds returns to the login screen. I can login fine using the Xfce or WindowMaker sessions. I then attempted to just clear out my user's gnome configuration, by cd $HOME mkdir old mv .gnome* .gconf* old/ then attempted to login again. It re-created the .gnome2 directory and such, but I still get the Oh no! error. I was using Gnome just fine under Fedora 15 prior to the upgrade. Does anybody know of a resolution to this problem -- or where I can find any log files or more information about what went wrong that I can look at?
