Thanks Andrew

Got the 80x20 mode on console BUT the X is not booting up...ugly would have been acceptable ;-)

Is there a way to get this in runtime after boot, by giving a command from console?

Last output is starting SYSV & creating /tmp/.X11-unix/ & cleaning up dead NX sessions....this message output twice on the booting console & then halted there.

Can someone tell what's happening?

With best regards and thanks.
Sanjay.
