Also, to implement features that have been available in XMMS, too. Some of the features of the Winamp UI probably won't be readded after Audacious 3, but in 2.5.x they are still available. Not true either. No need to kill it like that. For example, you could still run audacious -m, or run audtool to control the running Audacious instanced in many ways.
