I have a Samsumg B5310 phone, and under F13, connecting it with a USB cable caused gphoto to be launched, which then allowed me to transfer photos from the phone to my laptop. Sometime during the last two months I have lost that ability; most likely when I upgraded from F13 to F14. Now, gphoto is no longer launched when I plug the phone in, and when launched manually, gphoto doesn't "see" the phone: i.e. "import from removable device" doesn't list any devices. Note that this phone doesn't (and didn't) appear as a mass storage device. Here is the content of /var/log/messages, before and after, if its of any help: under F13 (worked): May 27 09:03:28 pigeon kernel: usb 1-5: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 7 May 27 09:03:28 pigeon kernel: usb 1-5: New USB device found, idVendor=04e8, idProduct=684a May 27 09:03:28 pigeon kernel: usb 1-5: New USB device strings: Mfr=2, Product=1, SerialNumber=3 May 27 09:03:28 pigeon kernel: usb 1-5: Product: Samsung B5310 May 27 09:03:28 pigeon kernel: usb 1-5: Manufacturer: Samsung Electronics May 27 09:03:28 pigeon kernel: usb 1-5: SerialNumber: 030303030303030300G May 27 09:03:28 pigeon kernel: cdc_acm 1-5:1.0: This device cannot do calls on its own.
