I have now: DEVICE="p3p1" TYPE=Ethernet BOOTPROTO=dhcp HWADDR="" ONBOOT="yes" USERCTL="no" NM_CONTROLLED="no" After booting: root@tola ~# ifconfig lo Link encap:Local loopback ... No interface p3p1. I tried with "HWADDR" set to the devices HWAddr as with the whole thing removed. No success.
