I went thru the same process and settled on
a 32 bit mini-pci card which I bought from
Ebay for about $23, and is natively supported
on Fedora with ath9k driver. It works! Period!

Of course, I have no idea what your bus is (legacy pci, pci-express, 
mini-pci).

Here is an example of a pci-express version for about $15.00
