Do software update notifications suppose to appear on F15? Maybe I missing something. I've been using F15 with gnome shell for a while now and I have never seen a message telling me there are updates.
I've seen them.I think that the notification pops up once, and if you happen to miss it, no trace of it remains, anywhere.
I liked the pre-F15 implementation where, in addition to a regularly- scheduled check, a check for software updates gets kicked off when you log into the gnome desktop, so if updates were available you'll get notified within a minute or so after you log in, and when your attention is likely to be focused on the desktop.
