Greg, I had hplip installed, and when I tried the setup command the system replied that I needed to install hplip-gui. So I did that, and it puts me through the same process as the system-config-printer and cups localhost:631 interface. It's just not seeing the printer on the remote machine. I've also checked the remote machine and router firewalls to be sure that they allow connection. I'm just lost on this one.
