And the fix seems to require changes in many places and would need code freeze exceptions. The risk to reward ratio is very high on that. > 3. Here I'm totally with you, with a month lead the release notes should have, and could have, been changed. If you report a bug you often get asked if you read the release notes, I think that implies they should cover stuff known a month in advance.
