Greetings, I have fresh installed F15 onto my laptop that has only one disk drive of 320G and no other OS. I checked the "Use All Space" box in the installer but otherwise left everything at the defaults. I was surprised to see the Nautlilus status bar telling me there was only 31G of free space, when I know that my Music is only about 55G and Videos only about 120G. Following are the outputs from the commands that can think of to see what's going on, but I'm stumped: Output of df -h [cygnia@cygniapolis ~]$ df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on rootfs 50G 4.0G 45G 9% / udev 2.0G 0 2.0G 0% /dev tmpfs 2.0G 1.7M 2.0G 1% /dev/shm tmpfs 2.0G 732K 2.0G 1% /run /dev/mapper/vg_cygniapolis-lv_root 50G 4.0G 45G 9% / tmpfs 2.0G 0 2.0G 0% /sys/fs/cgroup tmpfs 2.0G 0 2.0G 0% /media /dev/sda1 485M 53M 408M 12% /boot /dev/mapper/vg_cygniapolis-lv_home 238G 195G 32G 87% /home /dev/mapper/vg_cygniapolis-lv_root 50G 4.0G 45G 9% /tmp /dev/mapper/vg_cygniapolis-lv_root 50G 4.0G 45G 9% /var/tmp /dev/mapper/vg_cygniapolis-lv_home 238G 195G 32G 87% /home Output of fdisk -l [cygnia@cygniapolis ~]$ su -c 'fdisk -l' Password: Disk /dev/sda: 320.1 GB, 320072933376 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 38913 cylinders, total 625142448 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Disk identifier: 0x00052ee4 Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 * 2048 1026047 512000 83 Linux /dev/sda2 1026048 625141759 312057856 83 Linux Disk /dev/mapper/luks-5178caff-583d-4585-b785-d7833797af3a: 319.5 GB, 319545147392 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 38849 cylinders, total 624111616 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Disk identifier: 0x00000000 Disk /dev/mapper/luks-5178caff-583d-4585-b785-d7833797af3a doesn't contain a valid partition table Disk /dev/mapper/vg_cygniapolis-lv_swap: 6308 MB, 6308233216 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 766 cylinders, total 12320768 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Disk identifier: 0x00000000 Disk /dev/mapper/vg_cygniapolis-lv_swap doesn't contain a valid partition table Disk /dev/mapper/vg_cygniapolis-lv_root: 53.7 GB, 53687091200 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 6527 cylinders, total 104857600 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Disk identifier: 0x00000000 Disk /dev/mapper/vg_cygniapolis-lv_root doesn't contain a valid partition table Disk /dev/mapper/vg_cygniapolis-lv_home: 259.5 GB, 259543531520 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 31554 cylinders, total 506920960 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Disk identifier: 0x00000000 Disk /dev/mapper/vg_cygniapolis-lv_home doesn't contain a valid partition table The only obvious red light is the message about various disks not containing valid partition tables, but I don't know what that means. I had this while running the beta, but was hoping it was a glitch that would be solved with a fresh intall of the final, but it's still happening. Any pointers or advice would be much appreciated, and sorry for the long post. -- Bryce Hardy -- users mailing list users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe or change subscription options: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/users Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines
