  Me neither but how about these phrases?

not advertise an authorized SSID.

A STA shall advertise the same RSN information element in both its
Beacon and Probe Response frames.

   It sounds to me like its not required, but if its not there and/or
doesn't match the probe response - then a client (STA) may 'decline to
communicate' with it.

   This entire document (802.11i) is about WPA2 by the way ... and how
stations need to behave to talk to each other securely ...
