I've been trying to use an Orinoco Classic Gold WiFi card with Fedora-14, and have concluded that this is impossible, at least with the standard orinoco_cs driver. So I'm trying ndiswrapper. As far as I can see, I need to abstract the firmware in some way from the Windows driver, but I don't know how one is meant to do this. In fact, I'm not sure what "firmware" is. Is there a standard definition of firmware? And is there a standard way of extracting it from an EXE or DLL file? -- Timothy Murphy e-mail: gayleard /at/ eircom.net tel: +353-86-2336090, +353-1-2842366 s-mail: School of Mathematics, Trinity College, Dublin 2, Ireland -- users mailing list users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe or change subscription options: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/users Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines
