Hello all, I have a strange question. I got some piece of software that was compiled on a different version of linux and I'm running into some issues. If I run the executable I get: Linux> ./SDC ./SDC: error while loading shared libraries: libdcmAccess4C.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory If I use ldd I get: Linux> ldd ./SDC ./SDC: /lib64/tls/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.4' not found (required by ./SDC) ./SDC: /lib64/libgcc_s.so.1: version `GCC_4.2.0' not found (required by /usr/local/lib64/libstdc++.so.6) libpthread.so.0 => /lib64/tls/libpthread.so.0 (0x00002b5e38862000) libdcmAccess4C.so => not found libstdc++.so.6 => /usr/local/lib64/libstdc++.so.6 (0x00002b5e38977000) libm.so.6 => /lib64/tls/libm.so.6 (0x00002b5e38b8d000) libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib64/libgcc_s.so.1 (0x00002b5e38ce5000) libc.so.6 => /lib64/tls/libc.so.6 (0x00002b5e38df1000) /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 (0x00002b5e3874b000) So my question is. Is there any way to install the dependencies (a newer version of gcc?) without anything else on the system seeing it? This system has been running for a long time and I don't want to break anything.
