It'd been my observation that most parallel ports were very non-standard. There were different modes of operation, and many were only suitable for connecting a printer (they were an output, only). -----Original Message----- Slightly off-topic, Most paralel ports on those vintage machines were capable of both rx and tx Allthough they could not transfer 8-bits wide. Hence the lap-link protocol disected each byte into two nibbles. Might seem slow, but anyway much faster than async at 19.200 bps which was often the highest reliable speed. hw ______________________________________________________________________ Dit bericht kan informatie bevatten die niet voor u is bestemd.
