Is it possible to remotely upgrade a server running Fedora 6 to Fedora
14 (or 15)? If yes, should I use PreUpgrade?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

It would be possible, if and only if you asked the hosting company
to add a second drive to your system. Drive are rather cheap today.
That way, you could install F14 completely on the second drive,
even install grub on the second drive,  then, when all done,
add booting from the second drive to your boot menu on the
FC6 drive.
When all done, you could then proceed to yum install the packages
which you need/want.
Of course, you will need then to either transfer data, such as home
dirs to the new drive, or create symlinks in the new drive to point
back to the home dirs on existing FC6 drive.

Hope it works for you.

Cheers,

JD
