In case its been missed, I'm doing both.

I ordered a Dell U3011 (2560 x 1600) as my main monitor and I'll be
using a 20 inch monitor (1680 x 1050) on the side in portrait
orientation.  So I'll still have a dual monitor setup and I'll also have
one huge monitor.  Its probably the best of both worlds. 

I'll post back how I like it once I've used it for a while.
