The only Linux you might get going on small memory machines is DSL (Damn Small Linux), although there are at least two other tiny distros out I haven't tried. Old Slackware using a.out format binaries also work, I ran for some years on a 16MB laptop, but those days are gone. Don't use my S100 systems much, either. > I use a Mac because it 'works'. And defining the problem so there is only one solution avoids having to choose between several, like the bids which allow any OS but "must run Microsoft Word on that OS," which I saw in a bid.
