If you share files with Windows users, via SMB or email, it would be a
nice thing to scan them first, so you're not unwittingly passing on
malware.

I use NOD32 on my Windows VMs, but not on Linux.  I do scan my download
directory (where I download stuff to email to others), using ClamAV,
regularly.
