Unfortunately, you often do not discover the correct formula for body armor until your body is already riddled with bullets. I have a complicated system, as non-enterprise systems go, and I have plenty of administrative chores just to keep the various real and virtual instances up-to-date and well-behaved. Everyone has to set his or her own priorities. Mine do not include being smart about email clients. I use the command-line to be smart about lots of things. I'm glad I don't have to do it with email.
