The first thing you need to learn is that the last version of Fedora 
Core was 6.  As the obsolete book you bought says, the name of the 
version you bought is simply "Fedora 10."  The only supported versions 
of Fedora are 13 and 14, so I suggest that you download the install DVD 
for Fedora 14 from http://fedoraproject.org and install it.  I also 
suggest that, if possible, you take that book back and get a refund 
because it is, as I said, several years out of date.
