Yes opinions but if we compare the same with Python, would it really be a good option for a beginner?



Neither C not C++ can be called beginners programming languages.  It's not the size of C, it's the hidden complexity.  And problem with C++ is the size _and_ the complexity and knowing which of the zillion "features" to avoid and why.
