Well, that "original search" was not meant to be a full answer or the only
answer. It only tried to compete with the OP's brevity, refusal to do a
little bit of home-work and not giving any background:

| I got a file from a friend:

And apparently the friend has not told anything about what to do with
the file? What other information has the friend given when referring to
the file?

| asfd.apxl

asfd? asdf? qwerty? What's the meaning of that file name? The .apxl
file extension looks special enough to suggest it might be unique
and specific to a single file format. One never knows, though, since
there are lots of file name extensions that refer to multiple different
file types.

| it's some kind of xml

Here a quick search done by the OP should have resulted in a comment on
what the .apxl format is (and learning that other people have discussed
various aspects of that file format before). Such background could be
helpful since "yum search apxl" does not find anything at all. And the OP
did not comment on any own Yum search results either.

| with what could i open this file under Fedora 14?

â and again, the post really could have commented on whether there is
any software compatible with Fedora 14 that can load or convert Apple Keynote
files. http://developer.apple.com/appleapplications/keynote-apxl.html
