Tom, The createrepo manpage says: Note that the groups file should be in the same directory as the rpm packages (i.e. /path/to/rpms/comps.xml). Is comps.xml(.gz) in the proper location? you seem to suggest that it is located in repodata/ which does not seem to be the correct place.
