I would guess libs and commands have been compromised (i.e. corrupted). If you can, save all user data (especially the home directories). To do that, insert the Fedora DVD, type Ctrl-Alt-Delete to force a reboot. Reboot into Rescue mode. In rescu mode, back up the home dirs to another drive or partition. Then reboot, and do a fresh install of Fedora 14.
