I am on F14, but what is show should be valid for F13 as well.

Make sure you have the latest kernel package.
Check your kernel options and get rid of any unwanted ones (/etc/grub.conf).
Get rid of your /etc/X11/Xorg.conf first.
Make sure your relevant screen/monitor type (LVDS, VGA, etc) is set but
the others disconnected as instructed in my previous posts (links).
