Using awstats on Fedora 13

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Greetings. I'm trying to use "awstats" to analyze Apache log files on a
Fedora 13 (x86_64) system.

When I go to the web page:

    http://localhost/awstats/awstats.pl

I consistently get a 403 message:

    Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /awstats/awstats.pl on this server.

The corresponding entry in the httpd error_log file is:

[error] [client ::1] client denied by server configuration:
    /usr/share/awstats/wwwroot/cgi-bin/awstats.pl

I've done the usual kind of web search, and I've applied a bunch of sure-fire
remedies to the problem, none of which has made any difference. I haven't
attempted to catalog the suggested solutions, but I can probably dig them up
if necessary. I CAN tell you that I've repeatedly restarted httpd, so it
isn't like that that's the problem.

If you have awstats running in a Fedora 13 environment, please pass along any
information that you think might be relevant. Or, if you have a better
solution than awstats, I'd like to hear about that.

Thanks.
