Actually, that's not the fix. I thought this 'fixed' it too, but you'll have a broken network in a few hours. The fix is to disable PCI-E ASPM. In the BIOS there is an option for Active State Power Management, and you need to set it to disabled. There is a hardware flaw in the 82574L that prevents ASPM from working.
