It is interesting that "plug & play" was invented for Windows 98,
yet the only time I've ever had a device actually plug & play was
on linux when I plugged in my HP Photosmart C5580 All-In-one.
Printing and scanning worked with no effort on my part other than
plugging in the usb cable.

Of course I had to go and ruin the experience by trying to print
CDs and DVDs - that wasn't quite so flawless (but it got better
in fedora 13 :-).
