Things are fine as they are. Most other lists work the same way. If someone doesn't want to subscribe as they only want to ask one question, then are not missed as most questions can be answered by actually doing a bit of digging, which a lot of users on this list do not do. Also, if they find filling in a simple form and replying to an e-mail they get hard and annoying then what's it going to be like for them to try and diagnose and fix their problem?
