Mutt auto view for html failing

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Not sure if this is a config or mutt issue - but in case anyone has any ideas.

Just updated to Fedora 13, and mutt html viewer stopped working.

It says:
Invoking autoview command: /usr/bin/links '/tmp/mutt.html'
and just hangs there when viewing a html message.
Hitting CNTRL-C shows the page (q, enter, etc does nothing), page displays as:
[-- Autoview using /usr/bin/links '/tmp/mutt.html' --]
^[)0^[7^[[?1000h^[[1;1H^[[2J^[[1;1H
+(p1 of 4) ^[[2;1H Page Title
All those junk characters shows, a terminal type mismatch?
Tried this in a putty (windows) session - TERM=xterm as well as
running screen in it.

This is using ~/.mailcap.
Removing that, and using /etc/mailcap also fails the same way.
That Fedora mailcap seems incomplete for links anyway, it says:
text/html; /usr/bin/xdg-open %s ; copiousoutput
which won't work for links - it must have .html suffix, so should be:
text/html; /usr/bin/xdg-open%s ; nametemplate=%s.html; copiousoutput

Anyway - anyone one where to start looking for fixing this mutt html
view problem on Fedora 13? Same setup worked fine on Ubuntu 9, and
Fedora 7.
