Odds are its a shell script, possibly ending with a bin encoded file that it will pull apart automatically if you feed it to /bin/sh. If the beginning of the file looks like a shell script, then feed it to bash: bash < file.bin or sh < file.bin Personally, I configured the Adobe repository and install the reader through that.... adobe-release-i386.1.0-1.noarch.rpm It will effectively put the following (minus the "> "'s) in: /etc/yum.repo.d/adobe-linux-i386.repo > [adobe-linux-i386] > name=Adobe Systems Incorporated > baseurl=http://linuxdownload.adobe.com/linux/i386/ > enabled=1 > gpgcheck=1 > gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-adobe-linux Then you can just install using yum. > Thank you > -- Kevin J.
