I think you need a file in /etc/modprobe.d that lists the gives the options for parport_pc as io=0xb480 irq=11. Something like a file called parport-pci.conf with this as the contents: options parport_pc io=0xb480 irq=11 You may need io=0xbc00 instead of io=b480. You will have to run depmod after making the changes, remove and reinstall the parport_pc module, before the changes will take affect. (Or reboot.)
