Xorg server version?

OK, I'm confused....

On F12 yum info for xorg-x11-server-Xorg shows...

Name : xorg-x11-server-Xorg
Version : 1.7.6
Summary : Xorg X server
URL : http://www.x.org

When going go http://www.x.org one reads....

The current X.Org release is X11R7.5
<http://www.x.org/wiki/Releases/7.5>. The next major release will be
X11R7.6 <http://www.x.org/wiki/Releases/7.6>.

How does 1.7.6 compare with 7.5 or 7.6?

I'm asking since the current release of opensuse 11.2 has

Name: xorg-x11-server
Version: 7.4-61.63.1

And the problem that I see with the nVidia drivers and compositing
doesn't exist on opensuse. I get 3D effects...no problem.
