on fc12, once connected to wirless, for example, i see nothing about any other network.
if i disconnect, fine i see it all.

this is why i want a NM independent scan/display!

if so, your comment is valid as long as you dont connect.
as soon as you do, the rest of the world is not reported.

Just tried it on my system. When I left-click on the nm-applet icon, I see not just my network, but also those of my neiighbors.
