This is absolutely correct.  A Gigabyte (GB) is 1,000,000,000 (10^9)
bytes.  A Gibibyte (GiB) is 1,073,741,824 (2^30) bytes.  This has been
the official definition (according to NIST, BIPM, IEEE and others) for
several years.

OT:  I always found it interesting that the 1.44 Mbyte disk is actually
1.44 x 1024 x 1000, so it's neither 1.44 MB nor 1.44 MiB.
