Adding VM's (.img files) to virt-manager - Howto?

I have an F-11 box with qemu-kvm installed. There is a folder that contains
the VM, disk file (.img), for a Windows XP Pro VM I created. It seems to
work fine. The question I have is I made a copy of that same file using a
different name in the same folder. This VM does not show up in the list when
using virt-manager (version 0.7). I also will be provisioning an F-12 box
and I just want to copy the VM file from one box to the other. However I
think there is more to it based on my experiment on the F-11 box.

So just how does one go about taking an ".img" file and get virt-manager to
use it? Both systems are 32 bit and both use the exact same AMD dual core
cpu to reduce the chance that cpu differences will spoil things. Both boxes
are in fact the exact same models.

I'm sure there is a "logical way" to do this but my Google search hasn't
turned up anything that makes sense so far.
