Thanks to everyone who replied. It pointed me to understanding /etc/rc.d/* better. If I might ask a couple of followup questions: Is the recommended approach to troubleshooting startup scripts to grep on the messages, eg: grep -r 'Mount.*filesystems' /etc/rc.d or is there a better way? Also, I don't see this unnecessary error message in a similar mount situation in F9. Would it be appropriate to file a bugzilla? Against mount? Or against the util-linux-ng package?
