At least I got the information on the repositories ;-) . As it seams,
the adobe repository isn't yet properly installed. Here again what
happens if I follow your instructions:

what this says is that you've got the right files installed and only an
error installing the key. I am guess that means that the key is already
installed.
Also when you ran 'yum repolist' - the adobe repository did not show up.
I wonder what you get as root from command...
grep enabled /etc/yum.repos.d/adobe-linux-i386.repo
If it says 'enabled=1' and it doesn't show up in yum repolist command,
there is something really wrong.

I guess that I continue playing around with the system (I also still
have this problem with my wireless network which is actually much more
urgent) and eventually do reinstall everything. So maybe if I have a
clean install again, this will also work out of the box.
