Still getting occasional crashes. Several hours of use this time rather than several minutes in the box stock f12.

This crash took out the whole box...first FF stopped responding, then t-bird, then gnome.

ssh in from another machine and can run a few commands then :

...on the console. Shortly after this "Input/Output Error" for every command and a hard reset was needed to recover.

Not sure how common this is, but I think I am seeing a new line in dmesg :
